What is Nebuta Festival-themed Sauna at Hoshino Resorts Aomoriya?

Starting April 3, 2024, Hoshino Resorts Aomoriya will introduce a special sauna experience inspired by Aomori’s culture. The “Aomori Nebuta Sauna” is themed after Japan’s first festival and features Nebuta floats from the “Takenami Hiroo Nebuta Research Institute” led by Hiroo Takenami, the 7th Nebuta master. This unique sauna lets you experience the heat of the Aomori Nebuta Festival with automatic loo-ryu synchronized to festival music. Opening the sauna door reveals a Nebuta float themed around the “Dragon God,” a deity from the Aomori Nebuta Festival associated with water and rain. You can admire these dynamic Nebuta creations up close while enjoying the festival-like warmth, offering a soothing experience for your body and soul.
