Are you looking forward to the beauty of red leaves in autumn? Although the warm weather is still lingering, autumn is definitely on its way. How about experiencing the stunning autumn scenery at Shuzenji NIJINOSATO in Izu City, Shizuoka Prefecture?

From mid-November to mid-December, approximately 2,000 maple trees burst into full color. This year, in 2023, Shuzenji NIJINOSATO will be celebrating its 19th annual illumination event.

Shuzenji NIJINOSATO boasts various styles of gardens, including Japanese, British, and Canadian designs. In the Japanese garden, the autumn leaves create a picturesque scene as they float on the surface of the beautiful lake. Additionally, approximately 1,000 maple trees lead the way to the “Craftsman’s Village,” where historic houses dating back 150 to 300 years stand, all illuminated to perfection.

Furthermore, on November 12th (Sat) and 13th (Sun), a special illumination event will adorn the night sky with 100 lanterns. On November 18th (Sat) and 25th (Sat), there will be a fireworks display, adding an extra layer of enchantment to the autumn night sky.
