Japan Weather Forecast: Hot Summer Ahead

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency’s announcement on February 25, warm air is expected to cover the country. Temperatures will be higher than usual in northern, eastern, and western Japan, while Okinawa and Amami will see temperatures around or above average. Rainfall during the rainy season (June to July in northern, eastern, and western Japan, and May to June in Okinawa and Amami) and in summer is expected to be close to normal.This Japan weather forecast suggests that the summer will be hotter than usual, with typical rainfall patterns during the rainy season.

Global warming and other factors are expected to raise temperatures worldwide. In the Pacific, sea temperatures will be lower than usual near the International Date Line but higher in the western tropical region, leading to more clouds.

Because of this, the Tibetan High will be stronger in the northeast, and the jet stream will shift north near Japan. This will allow warm air to cover the country, making a hotter-than-usual summer more likely.
