- The applicant must be from a country eligible for the Digital Nomad Visa.
- The applicant can stay in Japan for up to six months.
- The applicant must engage in international remote work, such as working for a foreign company or offering paid services to foreign clients.
- The applicant must have an annual income of at least 10 million yen.
- The applicant must have overseas travel insurance covering death, injury, and illness, with medical coverage of at least 10 million yen.

Stay Duration: The primary applicant can stay in Japan for up to six months.
Work Type:
You can work remotely for a foreign company using information and communication technology (ICT). This work is for the company’s office in another country, based on an employment contract with the foreign company.
You can also provide paid services or sell goods to clients in another country using ICT.
Note: You cannot engage in activities that require you to be physically present in Japan.
- This visa does not allow you to do anything outside the approved activities for your residence status.
- You cannot work for any public or private organization in Japan under this visa.
Income Requirement: The applicant must earn at least 10 million yen annually.
Insurance: The applicant must have travel insurance covering death, injury, and illness, with at least 10 million yen in medical coverage.

Nationality: The applicant must hold nationality from a designated country eligible for the Digital Nomad Visa.

- Activity Type: The spouse or child can engage in daily activities as a supported family member of the primary applicant, who is staying in Japan for up to six months and engaged in international remote work.
- Note: The spouse or child cannot engage in activities outside of what is permitted for the primary applicant’s residence status.
- Insurance: The spouse or child must have private medical travel insurance that covers death, injury, and illness during their stay in Japan.
- Note: The insurance must provide 10 million yen or more for medical treatment compensation related to injury and illness.
